Hey! We're the Smith sisters.

And no, we're not triplets. But we are athletes, and we're using our speed to save animals. Welcome to our fundraising page for BARCStoberfest 2019! The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) is the largest shelter in Maryland, taking in a staggering 12,000 homeless dogs and cats and 1,000 exotic, farm and wildlife animals each year. They are an open admission shelter, meaning they take in EVERY animal that needs their help. Now BARCS needs our help to raise money. When you give to BARCS, you can count on 96% of your donation going directly to the animals! Any by sponsoring us, you're helping young girls learn how powerful they are to make a difference.

"Abused animals need to learn to trust again. BARCS helps these animals and I want to help BARCS. If some dogs don’t get homes they get put down which is just sad."

"Dogs and cats need lots of care and BARCS takes care of animals but they need our help to raise money to do their job. And I also want to help because I love animals and I think that they should be treated well and they should be able to have lots of toys and lots of environment to run around and have fun in because they should have the best lives that they can."

"Running for the dogs is important to me because I love dogs, and personally if I could and I was allowed to I would save all the dogs in the shelters. The dogs that are in the shelters don’t deserve to be there. They should get a better life because they have a much shorter life than us and they need to live it the best that they can. BARCS takes in all the dogs they can but they get full, so some are still out there getting abused and neglected. This is why running for the dogs is important to me.
